Sahyog Initiative

‘Sahyog’ is an initiative of Chandigarh Police that aims to engage with the youth by imparting and upgrading their skills as per their natural dispensation. The programme envisages to bridging the gap between youth and law enforcing agencies to enable their re-integration into the mainstream and to prevent their digression against the law.

Under this programme, Job-linked training will be imparted to the selected youth. Vulnerable youth was selected for the programme, through a detail exercise where target beneficiaries were identified, those selected included - School dropouts , Victim of Crime , Juvenile delinquents , Families in dire need , Drug Addicts or youth in high risk category of becoming drug addicts.

Chandigarh Police has tied up with National Skill Development Corporation for imparting Job-linked training in various sectors like healthcare, retail, hospitality, beauty and wellness etc. The training will be conducted at the premises of Police Stations.
