West District Administration Celebrates National Senior Citizen Day with Honor and Dignity

On the occasion of National Senior Citizen Day, the Office of the District Magistrate, West District, organized a special felicitation program to honor and appreciate the invaluable contributions of senior citizens in society.

The event, graced by Ms. Vandana Rao, District Magistrate (DM), and Dr. Nitin Sshakya, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), West District, brought together senior citizens from various parts of the district to celebrate their achievements and recognize their pivotal role in the community.

During the ceremony, senior citizens were facilitated and honored for their life-long contributions, symbolizing respect and gratitude for their dedication and wisdom that continue to inspire younger generations.

The event was successfully organized in collaboration with IACT Education and Trinity Foundation, whose continuous support and commitment to community service played an integral role in making the celebration memorable and impactful.

Speaking on the occasion, District Magistrate Ms. Vandana Rao said,

“Our senior citizens are the pillars of our society, and it is our responsibility to ensure they feel valued, respected, and empowered. Today’s celebration is a small token of gratitude for their lifelong guidance and blessings.”

Dr. Sameer Bhati, President and Director of Trinity Foundation, and Shri Raeev Singh, Director of IACT Education, expressed their gratitude for being part of the initiative, reaffirming their commitment to continued efforts toward social inclusion, empowerment, and community development.

The program concluded with interactive sessions, cultural performances, and an open forum where senior citizens shared their experiences, challenges, and suggestions to make the district more age-friendly and inclusive.
